Meet The Founder
Hey, I'm LAS Curry!
I created The Streamer Academy for one reason, to help the version of myself that started 7 years ago be able to avoid all the mistakes I made when I started streaming and trying to grow it!
If it's your first time coming across my content, here is a quick little back story so you know who you're learning form.
I started streaming back in June 2019, nearly 7 years ago
with a headset mic, a window for lighting, and an old Mac that could barely run OBS.
I had no idea what I was doing I just had a dream and a lot of prayers. I taught myself everything the hard way, and every time I learned something new, I made a video to help someone like you avoid the same mistakes and grow faster.
Since then:
• Grew from 0 to 15k subs in my first year on YouTube (Now at 110K subs)
• 19 Million+ humans have watched my videos (Mind Blowing)
• Built A multi-six-figure creator business in 5 years
• Have coached thousands of streamers
• Have created 300+ videos to help streamers grow smarter
• Building the #1 school for streamers
How I got here:
2006 — Fell in love with Gears of War and competitive gaming (Got to Travel to Lan Events, Super Fun)
2009 — Started working in Insurance for the next 10 years
2011 — Became a father, had a beautiful daughter
2015 — Built a motivational clothing brand
2016 — Launched a food biz selling empanadas (yes, they were fire)
2017 — Started helping e-commerce brands grow online (Shopify Mainly)
2018 — Got obsessed with content, branding, and digital marketing
2019 — Started streaming on Mixer and launched my YouTube channel (took a chance)
2020 — Mixer shut down. I quit my insurance job and went full-time (What a leap of faith)
2021 — Got saved on my Xbox and gave my life to Christ (Yes on Xbox, I know wild, ask me about it)
2022 — Got baptized. Married my best friend, Shawna. Created https://StreamDesignz.com to give streamers professional overlays and have transformed over 20K streams and counting
2023–24 — Coached hundreds of creators who wanted to grow on YouTube
2025 — Built what I wish I had when I got started and launched The Streamer Academy Community
2026 — Found out I was going to be a father again to a beautiful little girl

Is this only for streamers?
